The Orkney pavilion was a hive of activity at this year’s All-Energy conference, drawing significant attention from stakeholders across the renewable energy sector. Orbital Marine Power and the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) were exhibiting, showcasing the tidal energy developments taking place in Scotland, the UK and Europe.
Scotland’s Deputy First Minister, Kate Forbes MSP popped past the pavilion and had a great chat with the team, and EMEC’s Matthew Finn hosted a well-attended panel session that spotlighted the region’s leadership in marine renewables. During the session, Oliver Wragg of Orbital Marine Power shared insights into several European-funded projects, EURO-TIDES, FORWARD-2030 and MaxBlade, each playing a vital role in scaling up tidal energy deployment and innovation.
The strong presence and engagement at All-Energy 2025 reaffirmed the need for continues collaboration and innovation to navigate the path to a sustainable future.
